Reference Membership
- You can apply immediately on arrival at the Library during staffed hours
- Institutional ID must be shown
- Fees are charged for taught course students

Borrowing Membership
- You can apply immediately on arrival at the Library during staffed hours
- Staff ID must be shown
- Not available to students
| Academic staff | £150 pa/£100 six months to borrow 6 books for one month. |
If you wish to apply, please complete a membership form and return it to the Library.
To obtain a membership form you can:
- Pick one up from the Membership Desk in the Library
- Request one by email
- Download as a PDF file use link on the right (you will need a PDF viewer such as Adobe Acrobat to view).
SCONUL Access
SCONUL Access is available to members of most of the publicly-funded higher education libraries in the UK and Ireland. Please enquire at your home library for eligibility. SCONUL Access provides borrowing privileges (6 books for 1 month) for the following:
- Academic staff on open or fixed term contracts of a year or more (Band A)
- Postgraduate research students registered for a PhD, MPhil or similar qualification (Band A)
- Part-time undergraduate and post graduate students, distance learning and placement students (Band B)
- Full-time postgraduates (Band C)
SCONUL Access also provides reference only membership for the following:
- Full-time undergraduate students (Band B)
- Staff of a few higher education libraries not participating in the reciprocal borrowing arrangements (Band B)
