Palestinian singer, musician and broadcaster Reem Kelani has a unique ability to entertain and to enlighten her audiences with the delights of Arabic and Palestinian culture and music. Her repertoire criss-crosses the Mediterranean, from Palestine and Syria, to Egypt and Tunisia, Turkey and Spain, and including songs by the Egyptian composer, Sayyid Darwish (1892-1923). Reem composes and arranges her songs, as well as researches them in the field.
Her second album “Reem Kelani: Live at the Tabernacle” is due for release on Fuse Records this autumn, in follow up to her acclaimed first album “Sprinting Gazelle – Palestinian Songs from the Motherland and the Diaspora”. For her concert in the Brunei Gallery, Reem will be accompanied by the wonderfully versatile and talented Bruno Heinen on piano.
