The programme is a unique opportunity for those who are interested in Persian culture to spend a night listening to a small orchestral performance of the most popular Classical Persian songs about the season of Spring with the voice of Tehran Conservatory trained vocalist Dr Maziar Sadri and arrangement by Mr Ehsan Tavakol, a composer trained at the Ukraine Conservatory. The small orchestra consists of 10 musicians with Violin, Violas, Cello, Clarinet, Piano and Persian drum and the performance is arranged in the modern format of the former Golha (Flowers) programme performed for several decades at the Iranian National Radio.
The programme also consists of the speech conducted under the title "Spring in Persian Literature" by Dr Mahmoud Kavir, the very well known author of Persian history and literature and former lecturer at Tehran University who has compiled over 20 books about Persian history and culture. The speech will be followed by a poetry reading on the season of Spring by Dr Manouchehr Javaher-kalam, a well known Iranian poet living in London.
