London school pupils to explore linguistic diversity and its relationship with human rights

New MA scholarships at SOAS

SOAS, University of London has made £830,000 available in new scholarship funds in order to encourage under-represented UK and EU students to progress to taught postgraduate education and help students who might otherwise be prevented from taking up a postgraduate degree due to financial concerns.

Opportunity for a recent graduate to work in the university fundraising sector

Recent graduates, or students who are set to graduate this year, with at least a 2:1 in their discipline are eligible to apply for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Europe Graduate Trainee Scheme, a paid programme that provides entry-level careers in fundraising for recent graduates.

On Thursday 6 November, 30 school pupils from Deptford Green School, Northumberland Park Community School and Guru Nana Sikh Academy attended a day of activities to coincide with the United Nations 69th anniversary.

SOAS's first MOOC

SOAS, in partnership with the University of London International Academy and Coursera, has opened for registration its first 'MOOC' (Massive Open Online Course) entitled 'Understanding Research Methods'.   To date, over 16,800 students have enrolled. The MOOC will start on 2nd June 2014 and run for six weeks.

Young teens ‘buddy up’ with SOAS students to learn about university life and languages

A group of SOAS, University of London students took part in the IntoUniversity Buddy programme, designed to offer young students the opportunity to work with aspirational adults at university and learn more about studying subjects at a higher level.
