4. Mushawrak Muqam: Muqaddima & Taz Marghul

Mushawrak is a less commonly performed Muqam, but its development of mode is very interesting, and Abdulla performs this instrumental version with great emotional intensity. The muqaddima is followed by the stately 6-beat taz, the only time that this recording dips into the more rarely performed chong naghma sections of the Muqam.
