6. Nawa Muqam: Muqaddima

Abdulla states that Nawa Muqam is preferred by old men or by scholars. One of the darker sounding Muqam, Nawa in fact means 'joy', and ambiguity is created by its signature alternation of the sharpened and flattened third of the scale.
