On Tuesday March 14th 2006, HRH Princess Sirindhorn, the daughter of the King of Thailand, will visit SOAS to participate in a concert of Thai traditional music.The concert, being held to commemorate the 60th anniversary of King Bhumibol of Thailand's ascent to the throne, will also feature guest musicians from Thailand, the Thai Music Circle in the UK and the SOAS Thai Music Group. Many of the pieces performed will include lyrics composed by Princess Sirindhorn and she will also sing.
The concert will begin at 6:45pm in the Brunei Gallery at SOAS. It is open to all but please reserve your seats in advance by e-mail to music@soas.ac.uk, or by post to Simon Eades, Faculty of Arts And Humanities, SOAS, Thornhaugh Street, London WC1H 0XG.
