Temporary suspension of access to the Percival David Collection of Chinese Ceramics
21 December 2007
The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), the University of London, the British Museum and the protection nominees of the Percival David Foundation are collaborating to enable this collection of world-renowned Chinese ceramics to be presented to the public in a purpose-built special new gallery at the British Museum from 2009, to be open 7 days a week.
In order to facilitate the removal of the ceramics to the British Museum the ceramics galleries of the Percival David Foundation at 53 Gordon Square will close permanently from 21 December 2007 and will not be accessible to any researcher, scholar or visitor during 2008.
