Researching Violence in Africa: The Methodological Challenges Conference
9 July 2008
Lively discussion and debate surrounding the recent conference, Researching Violence in Africa: the Methodological Challenges, attracted more than 40 guests to SOAS over the 4th and 5th of July.
The conference was hosted by the Centre of African Studies, which funded five speakers from sub-Saharan Africa and invited 18 other speakers from the UK, USA, and mainland Europe.
The conference was held in association with AEGIS, the European network of African Studies Centres and organisations. The organizers, Professors Christopher Cramer and Johan Pottier and Dr. Laura Hammond, plan to turn proceedings into a publication.
