Bridging Course for Mature Students 2009

One of SOAS' key strengths is its diverse student body. There is a high proportion of mature students at SOAS, some of whom come from Access courses and many who have been away from any form of formal education for some time.
The Bridging Course for Mature Students is a free, week-long, pre-sessional course designed to prepare mature students for university study and to help these students to familiarise themselves with the facilities and support services available at SOAS.
The course will be running from Monday 21st to Friday 25th September, and will include:
- Academic lectures given by SOAS staff
- Study skills workshops
- Personal skills sessions
- Information on SOAS services and student support
- Working with current students
- Help with writing a first-year level essay (to be marked at the end of the week!)
