EATS 2011 Calls for Papers

The European Association of Taiwan Studies (EATS) will hold its eighth Annual Conference on 12-14 May 2011 at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. The conference is co-organized by the University of Ljubljana and EATS. The EATS board particularly welcomes submission of paper abstracts on the following themes:
- A Hundred Years of R.O.C. History
- The Subjectivity of Taiwan
- Taiwan’s Democratization and Cross-Strait Relations
- Governance and Civil Society in Taiwan
- ECFA and Economic Issues
- Electoral and Party Politics
- Documentary Films and Cinema Studies
- Society, Environment, Industrial and Natural Risks
- Rewriting Taiwanese Literature
- Taiwanese Religious Beliefs and Practices in a Global Era
- Youth Culture
- MA Panel
