CeDEP Voices Concerns Over DfID’s Agricultural Research Policy
24 September 2010
Andrew Dorward, Colin Poulton and Peter Hazell are among the signatories to a letter raising concerns over the policies of the UK Department of International Development (DfID) regarding Agricultural Research. The letter, published in the Guardian’s global development section, argues that unless it invests in agricultural research, DfID will not make effective contributions to help wage the battle against global hunger. Lack of investment in agricultural research will also undermine achievement of DfIDs stated policy priorities.
