Nominations for Director's Teaching Prize 2012 now open

The Director’s Teaching Prize has been established in order to recognize excellence in teaching and the promotion of learning within the School. The purpose of the Prize is to stimulate teaching and teaching-related scholarly and/or creative activities, particularly at undergraduate level. The prize
will be given for work undertaken at SOAS, with SOAS students. The Prize for 2011-2012 will be awarded during the Graduation Ceremony in July (exact date to be confirmed).
The value of the Prize is £1500 which can be used for personal development such as conference attendance, staff development activities or research. In addition there will be up to 5 runners up prizes of £100 book tokens.
Nominations may be made by individual members of staff or by students. Nominations may name an individual member of teaching staff or a teaching/teaching support team. All nominations must be submitted to the ADD by Wednesday March 21st. Shortlists will then be drawn up by Heads of Departments by Wednesday April 11th.
