SOAS signs partnership agreement with Santander Universities UK

Last month SOAS signed a three-year partnership agreement with Santander Universities UK. As part of the agreement, funding will be provided for scholarships, travel grants for doctoral students, as well as student enterprise activities.
Santander Universities UK Director Luis Juste said: “SOAS is one of the top UK institutions that has built a fantastic reputation worldwide during recent decades. We are delighted to start this partnership and I am certain that our collaboration will benefit students and academics alike.”
SOAS’ Development and Alumni Relations team has worked closely with SOAS’ Enterprise team to develop this partnership with Santander Universities UK.
Claire Hardesty, Business Development Manager at SOAS, said that there would be many opportunities for staff and students to get involved and benefit from this partnership in addition to the three areas specified. “Shortly after signing the agreement, Santander Universities UK announced additional funding to support an internship scheme focused on small and medium enterprises, which we are delighted to be part of.”
Since establishing in the UK five years ago, Santander Universities has collaborated with 62 British Universities and Higher Education Institutions, with agreements focusing on promoting international exchange, entrepreneurial activities and the mobility of students and researchers within the network.
