SOAS photo competition

SOAS Precinct in the Autumn Sun

23 November 2012

Have you taken photos around SOAS that you think are worthy of an award? Do you want to win £200?

We’ve launched a photo competition to showcase the hidden photography talents of everyone connected to SOAS – students, alumni, staff and visitors.

There are three categories for you to enter:

  1. SOAS life – anything that you feel represents life at SOAS, from an awe-inspiring lecture to African dancing and a new exhibition. Photos that capture the essence of what SOAS means to you.
  2. London – images that show your perspective of London, such as hidden places or cultural events.
  3. SOAS regions – photos from the regions SOAS focuses on – Asia, Africa and the Middle East. From wild horses in Mongolia to the markets of Marrakesh, we want your photos that inspire you.

The panel of judges will include art experts and representatives from SOAS student union and staff.

The winner from each category will receive £200 and runners up £100. The judges will also choose photos to be included on the SOAS website, posters and flyers and in publications.
