SOAS highlights the anniversary of condemnation of the Holocaust made during WW2 at the time of Stalingrad in 1942 on Monday 17 December. The commemoration is part of the CISD’s War Crimes Project which has uncovered thousands of international criminal trials at the end of the war that are unknown to modern lawyers and scholars.
SOAS academic Dr Dan Plesch highlights a forgotten condemnation of the Holocaust made publicly by the international community far earlier than normally assumed.
With the Wiener Library’s leadership the Guardian is hosting an exhibition at 90 York Way until February featuring the 17 December 1942 United Nations Declaration on the Persecution of the Jews. The importance of the Declaration was discussed on the BBC’s World Tonight with Phillipe Sands and Malcom Rifkind.
