New Research Fellow Joins CeDEP

Giuseppina Siciliano

Dr. Giuseppina Siciliano is a new Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Development, Environment & Policy (CeDEP). Giuseppina is involved in the ESRC-funded project “China goes global: a comparative study of Chinese hydropower dams in Africa and Asia”.
Giuseppina is an environmental economist specialized in public policy evaluation, environment and development, and has worked extensively on participatory multi-criteria techniques and sustainability analysis.
Prior to joining SOAS, Giuseppina worked as Research Fellow in various academic institutions and non-profit organizations, such as Enel Foundation in 2012-2013, the IUAV University in Venice in 2010-2012, ECOSUR - Colegio de la Frontera Sur in Mexico in 2005-2006, the National Research Council of Italy in 2003-2005. She has carried out research and fieldwork on the multi-scale integrated assessment of development policies in China and Mexico. She was guest lecturer in Political Economy of the Environment at University of Siena in 2011-2012 and in Planning and Evaluation Techniques at IUAV University in Venice, Department of Design and Planning in Complex Environments in 2012-2013.
