The 2013 Middle East in London Photo Competition

Harness the power of photography and share your experiences from around the Middle East with us. A selection of entries will be published in a future edition of the Middle East in London magazine. The winner will be awarded £100 worth of Amazon tokens.
Please send entries to Sarah Johnson (firstname.lastname@example.org) by 29 September 2013 including your name, email address, telephone number, and photo caption (including place and date). Make sure you have the necessary permission and copyright before submitting any photo(s). You may submit as many entries as you wish.
Note: Theme is open but the following categories might be helpful:
- Travel Portraits: People working, playing, celebrating
- Outdoor Scenes: Landscapes, aerials, wildlife, waterscapes
- Sense of Place: Everyday lives, buildings & architecture; culture & food
- Spontaneous Moments: Fun, quirky, surprising, and unrehearsed moments
- Current affairs: Political and social events, demos, clashes, uprisings, revolutions, etc!
Winning entries will be chosen by the magazine's editorial board. We will not enter into correspondence regarding the final decision.
Photographs must be in digital format. No print or film submissions will be accepted for entry into this contest. All digital files must be 5 megabytes or smaller, must be in JPEG or .jpg format, and must be at least 1,600 pixels wide (if a horizontal image) or 1,600 pixels tall (if a vertical image).
The photograph, in its entirety, must be a single work of original material taken by the contest entrant. By entering the contest, the entrant represents, acknowledges and warrants that the submitted photograph is an original work created solely by the entrant, that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim or interest in the photograph.
