Future Foreign Policy, a think tank on international affairs co-founded by a SOAS graduate, is inviting students to pitch their own policy ideas to industry experts and policy makers for its launch event now. The deadline to apply is Monday 21 October.
The organisation was co-founded by Katy Ho, who completed an MA in International Development at SOAS, University of London. It is a student and graduate led initiative that was set up to engage young people in a fresh and innovative forum for progressive policies, and allow them to promote their ideas on the future direction of UK foreign affairs.
The launch event, taking place on 16 November at Thomson Reuters in London, enables students to get involved in panel discussion on topics in international affairs such as cyber security, drones warfare, counter-terrorism and international military interventions.
Speakers from UK think tanks and organisations such as Chatham House, Institute for Strategic Dialogue, RUSI, Global Poverty Project, Cytora will be present. Attendees can also participate in a session on ‘Careers in Foreign Policy’, specifically designed for students looking to break into the industry.
