Call for papers and posters

We are delighted to invite you to our third annual Postgraduate Research Conference, taking place on 18th September 2014, at our campus in Egham. The aim of the conference is to encourage research students to reflect on the significance and applicability of their academic research to society. As such, we are looking for papers and posters that address at least one of these themes:

  • the impact of research
  • public engagement and academia
  • the relationship between theory and practice
  • challenges in engaging with the public

Please see the attached call for papers for further details.

As well as receiving critical feedback on their work, and networking with other researchers, participants will also be able to engage with academics experienced in disseminating their work to the public.

The conference is open to all University of London research students across all disciplines. Abstracts for posters and papers will be selected according to their relevance with the conference’s core themes. Abstract submission opens on 9th April 2014, and closes on 1st June 2014. We are pleased to inform you that the Graduate School will cover printing costs for accepted posters, provided these are sent in pdf format no later than 12th September 2014.
