SOAS School of Law in UK’s top ten
4 June 2014
The SOAS, University of London School of Law is listed in the top ten law schools in the country, and in the top five in London, after rising 20 places in the Guardian University Guide 2015.
Satisfaction rates within the School of Law also increased in teaching (90.8%) feedback (20% rise, now 74%) and in the course generally (87%). This follows news from the Complete University Guide 2015 where the School of Law increased its rankings by 13 places compared to last year. This was also the best percentage increase compared to any Law School in the UK.
Head of the School of Law Paul Kohler said: “It is excellent to see the School of Law gaining consistent recognition for its world class teaching and learning. SOAS School of Law graduates are highly sought after by national and international law firms, the UN and other transnational organisations, NGOs, national and local government, the Bar and both the corporate and voluntary sector. This year we achieved one of the highest percentages of training contracts awarded to any law school by one of the world's leading magic circle law firms, Clifford Chance. We are delighted to see our success, in creating the only qualifying law degree in the UK which is also a global LLB, being recognised on this scale. ”
