Student Sponsorships

Sponsorship for postgraduate students of Japanese

Thanks to the generous support of the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation we are able to sponsor full accommodation costs (at the University of London International Hall) for the duration of the conference to five postgraduate students in the field of Japanese (im)politeness.

Students should request their supervisors to send a reference letter to Jane Savory (js64@soas.ac.uk) by 23 March 2013 indicating the students’ research field and an assessment of their performance.

Applications will be vetted by members of the scientific committee and results will be announced by 30 March 2013.
