Dr. Christopher Paik is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at New York University, Abu Dhabi. He specializes in the study of institutions, ethnicity, and violence from both historical and contemporary perspectives. His current research involves various topics including long-run determinants of economic growth, sources of enduring cultural differences, and the application of geo-spatial statistics to the study of socioeconomic processes. He obtained his PhD from Stanford University.
