In Search of Lost Causes: Fragments, Ruins, and Allegories

Brief Abstract:  We can never have complete archives. The archives of our art history is particularly fragmentary, salvaged from the ruins of our tyrannous history--and precisely for that reason they are the perfect allegories--helping us retrieve our lost causes.
