Former curator for Middle Eastern ethnography at the Museum of Mankind (British Museum) (thirteen exhibitions including Nomad and City, 1976-8 and Palestinian Costume, 1989-91).
Field research and collecting in Palestine, Jordan and Yemen, and other European and Asian countries.
Consultancies on museums and craft production in various Middle Eastern countries.
