Professor Peter Hazell
Prior to joining the CeDEP group at Wye, Peter had a long and distinctive career in research and policy analysis at the World Bank and International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington DC. He has published extensively on agricultural development and poverty reduction, with recent work with CeDEP and other colleagues on the future of small farms, successes in African agriculture, the rural nonfarm economy, weather insurance, biofuels and prospects for the global balance between food and the environment.
