It examines the technological and knowledge transfer impact of foreign direct investment in promoting exports in Ghana. The principal focus of the research is to question the assumed linkages between foreign direct investment and exports, via the knowledge and skills link. I am from Accra, Ghana. I undertook my undergraduate education at the historical city of Cape Coast, at the university named after the city (it’s a rather small city with quite a number of Ghana’s leading secondary schools). After my BA I did my national service (under the Ministry of Health) and worked for while. Subsequently, I enrolled at the University of Ghana to pursue an MPhil in Economics. Upon completion I was encouraged to stay on at the University to help with teaching and research. Now at SOAS, University of London pursuing further research leading to the award of a PhD.
