This PhD constitutes an in-depth study, translation and critical edition of a group of texts that encapsulate the radical early Dzogchen tradition of Tibet. These texts belong to what came to be called the "Mind Series" (sems sde), which emphasizes the primordial enlightened mind of Buddhahood latent in all beings. My work will examine the texts in the light of current scholarly thinking on the origins and early development of Dzogchen.
