PhD Research

The subject of reservations to human rights treaties is very essential to both the states and parties and the human rights bodies as an insight to the state practice. Reservations to human rights treaties are practiced by different nations and states, regardless of their legal or political backgrounds. However, there are varying reasons behind the advisement of reservations among states. In addition, studying reservations can be useful to counter any negative perceptions, and offer beneficial insights into states’ practice. That is, generally, this research will seek to increase our understanding of the issues and to enrich the field of international human rights law from different perspectives.
