PhD Research

Malawi is implementing a decentralization policy whose goals focus on cementing democratic gains at local level and promoting poverty alleviation in Malawi. Alinafe is interested in exploring how decentralization is shaping and influencing the development planning landscape at local level, and particularly exploring the question in terms of the relationship between decentralization and local government performance in delivery of social services and development programs.
