Biography

Donald joined SOAS as Registrar and Secretary in April 2010. Prior to this, he was Secretary at Kingston University where he oversaw significant re-investment in the University’s estate. He has worked in the higher education sector since 1979, starting at the University of St Andrews. Here he held a number of roles including the administration of course approvals, publications and finally as the University’s first Personnel Director. After leaving St Andrews, Donald worked as Human Resources Director at the University of Warwick, where he also had oversight of the Centre for Academic Practice. At SOAS he has overall responsibility for all Professional Services.
