My research intends to examine the relationship between the industrial development policies and foreign investment. In order to achieve a better understanding of the real effect of the political policies on the economy performance, the different roles of the governments (the central and local governments) and other stakeholders (foreign invested enterprises, state-owned enterprises and domestic private companies) in industrial development process under the globalization era will be discussed. This study picks Guangdong province as a case to do updated and in-depth analysis.
