Biography
Jocelyn Chatterton completed a PhD at SOAS on 'Protestant Medical Missionaries during the War in China 1937-1945: The Case of Hubei Province'.
She has lectured extensively on the history and culture of China, Qing and Ming dynasty textiles, Chinese court and religious costume, Qing dynasty China, eunuchs and the custom of foot binding. She is particularly interested in records that never existed and is currently researching the epidemiological records of missionary hospitals in China.
