Biography
Sir Graham was appointed to the Governing Body in September 2008 as the representative of the Foreign an Commonwealth Office (FCO). He was British Ambassador to Japan from 2004 to 2008 and High Commissioner in Malaysia from 1998 to 2001, before retiring from the FCO in 2008. A fluent Japanese speaker, Sir Graham lived in Japan for 12 years. He now maintains his connection with the country by advising Japanese companies, writing articles and lecturing in Japan. He is a council member of the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust.
