Background in Natural Sciences (and Law), with 30 years of business management for Shell International in Europe, the Americas and the Far East (senior posts in China/HK), initiating and coordinating large petrochemical investments. More recent Interests have included Art History, Architectural History, Chinese Ceramics and (particularly in the UK) heritage conservation. Presently engaged in independent research and freelance lecturing.
