I am studying the evolving relationship between enterprise and the finance and banking sector in Vietnam, a rapidly growing transition economy. Adopting a critical finance perspective I am looking at how firms manage liquidity in the face of a changing institutional environment and how this differs according to firm size, ownership and sector. My research is based on a flow of funds analysis of Vietnam and interviews with the management boards of many of Vietnam’s largest firms and other key actors.
