This thesis will investigate how the establishment of the International Criminal Court would affect the further and future development of international crimes. Thus, it will focus on substantive issues of international criminal law. For the purposes of this research the crimes in question are the crimes currently within the court's jurisdiction (genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes). Case studies will also be undertaken in relation to crimes which are not included in the ICC Statute.
