PhD Research

My dissertation looks at the issue of capital flows to emerging markets economies. It aims to assess the role of institutional investors based in Advanced Countries in driving such flows. Particular emphasis will be given to the importance of the balance sheet structure in determining institutional investors portfolio choice.

The methodology employs both quantitative empirical methods as well as qualitative interviews. The thesis will also analyse these issue through a stock-flow consistent model.
