PhD Research

The research projects aims at unfolding the trajectory of the working class struggle in Lebanon through the understanding of the interplay between workers and the state. It focuses on the period since Independence in 1943 in the context of a sectarian regime and civil war. What is the relation between the sectarian regime and the working class movement in Lebanon and in what ways do sectarian boundaries influence the trajectory and outcomes of the workers’ movement?
