This research attempts to record and analyse the interactions that take place among the rural audiences of Hindi Cinema regarding films that are made on specific social issues. It aims at finding answers to questions like- What is the size of the audience of Hindi Cinema in India? How is rural audience different and important? How many cinema halls are there and on what kind of screens to people see films? What are the ethical dilemmas of the viewers in rural areas surrounding development-oriented films and how can they be tackled?
