- Toward a theory of cultural untranslatability with application to Japanese, UK and USA cross-cultural business management and beyond (working title)
My PhD work, currently at fieldwork stage, will propose and test a theory, cultural (un)translatability, as a framework to describe a spectrum of varying degrees of cultural differences, in particular, senses of values (“cultural values”) and culturally-driven business practices including decision-making activities.
