This course is aimed at all staff.

Aim:

The aim of this course is to ensure participants are aware how information law and the School's own rules on information management affect their work.

Course Content:

After the workshop, participants should be able to:

• Identify Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and understand the implications of FOI for their work
• Handle and protect personal data that they work with so that they comply with the Data Protection Act
• Understand what can and can't be copied under copyright
• Know where to go for advice on managing their records and information.
