This is a two-day course that will arm you with powerful skills and techniques that professional project managers use to smooth out problems, meet deadlines and get results.
Target audience:
Those people who have to manage projects that involve liaising with colleagues, and external organisations, and lead project groups whose members may not report directly to them.
Objectives:
By the end of the course participants will:
- Understand how to agree a precise specification for a project
- Appreciate the tools involved in planning a project including the use of tools such as critical path analysis and Gantt charts
- Know how to agree and delegate project actions
- Understand the principles of managing a project team
- Be more effective at managing deadlines, monitoring and controlling progress
- Know how to successfully close a project
