Staff development can offer internal and external consultancy services to assist departments who need to find development solutions to issues they are dealing with. This might be, for example, training needs analysis or help with the planning and/or delivery of training.
Information and Advice
All staff have access to members of the staff development team who can provide information about training and development opportunities within SOAS and beyond, the suitability of a particular course or programme, who to contact for further information and so on.
Advice can be provided to individuals on a wide range of interventions including coaching and mentoring, creative methods of staff development, personal development, and learning and teaching skills. We are happy to put these skills to use in helping particular departments or teams to carry out training and development activities.
