Santander Business Plan Competition
Win up to £20,000 in the national competition

The Santander Universities Entrepreneurship Awards are run by the Santander Universities Division: a global division of Banco Santander established with the aim of supporting higher education through donations and specialised initiatives.
As a partner in this programme we are able to submit 1 undergraduate and 1 postgraduate business plan to the national competition. In order for us to do this, we are inviting applications to the 1st round – the 2 plans shortlisted to be submitted to Santander will be awarded £500 each from SOAS to kick start their venture. The judging criteria used for the 1st round will be the same as the national competition - more details can be found in the judging pack: Santander Entrepreneurship Awards 2013
Prizes from Santander are:

Submission Criteria:
- All applicants must be students at the university or alumni who have graduated within the last two years. Applicants can be individuals or groups
- An applicant’s level of study determines their application category. If the applicant has only completed or is currently completing an undergraduate degree they will need to submit their plan in the undergraduate category. If the student has completed any further studies (Masters, Postgraduate etc.) then their application will fall into the post-graduate category
- Submissions must be submitted by the closing date (8th April) and any late submissions will not be judged (the 2 short listed applications then have to be submitted to Santander by 12th April)
- Business plans must be no more than five double sided pages plus a maximum of two appendices totalling 5 pages
- Business plan text must be no smaller than Arial font 10
- Please submit your business plan and cover sheet to Claire Hardesty ch29@soas.ac.uk by 8th April, clearly stating Santander Business Plan competition in the email subject title
