The Student Barometer survey ran for the first time in November 2007 for all students at SOAS. The survey was run by i-Graduate, an independent marketing and research service, which run the survey for 150 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) worldwide, including the top 50 in the UK. Students are surveyed at two significant points in the academic year: post arrival and year end. The post arrival (entry wave) stage of the survey focuses on first impressions and orientation, including decision making, initial perceptions plus experience of the enquiry to arrival process. The year end survey compares your expectations with your experiences.
The School ran the survey again in session 2009-2010. Results were discussed at the Student Experience Committee and the Academic Development Committee and can be found in the right-hand links on this page.
