Student Evaluation of Courses
Student Evaluation of Courses (SEC) forms are collected at the end of each academic session for all courses. The results are made available to the senior management team, Heads of Department and other managers across the School. The results are discussed in Faculty Learning & Teaching Committees, Learning and Teaching Quality Committee and Academic Board. Actions to be taken to address specific issues highlighted by the surveys are reported back to you via your student representatives on the various committees as well as presented to the Student Experience Committee. Discussion of the student feedback is a standing item on the agenda of the first departmental meeting at the start of the academic session.
Student evaluation questionnaires are only one method for obtaining your views. Alternative methods such as departmental meetings, the Student Union, and more informal feedback is a valuable addition and you are encouraged to use these mechanisms.
