Study Abroad/JYA at SOAS

Law and Social Sciences Postgraduate Courses

Only students who have completed an undergraduate degree and are currently studying for a postgraduate qualification at another institution may choose postgraduate courses at SOAS. If you are still studying for your undergraduate degree (even if you have nearly finished it) you should choose courses from the undergraduate lists.

Available postgraduate courses

Most postgraduate courses are open to Study Abroad, Exchange or Associate students, provided you meet the appropriate entry requirements (usually a completed undergraduate degree in the relevant discipline).  You can browse through a list of courses running in each department by following the links below.  However, there are some courses that are not open to visiting students and so please take a note of these.  If your approval to study at SOAS is dependent on taking a specific course, then please contact the Study Abroad office in advance to check your suitability for it.

Most 'Full Year' courses are available to all visiting students - whether at SOAS for the full year, term 1 only or terms 2&3 only.

It is not possible to complete a dissertation or independent study project as a visiting student.
