SOAS Students' Union

The SOAS Union facilitates and funds around 100 clubs and societies, as well as running the union shop, snack counter, and bar. The Union is a united voice for students on issues as varied as extended library opening hours and anti-racism campaigns. Three full time officers and numerous part time officers run the Union facilities.

Sports and Leisure

As well as being members of the SOAS Students’ Union, SOAS students are automatic members of the University of London Union (ULU). The Union building is located within just a two-minute walk of the Russell Square Campus and contains a wealth of social and sports facilities including a recently refurbished gym, bars and restaurants as well as shops and a branch of the STA Travel. It also houses the largest swimming pool in central London.

The Brunei Gallery

The Brunei Gallery operates as both a student resource and a public attraction, holding regular exhibitions which reflect the broad academic interests of art and archaeological teaching at SOAS. It was built in 1995 as a result of a generous benefaction from HM The Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, includes a gallery dedicated to showing work from and about Asia, Africa and the Near and Middle East.
