SOAS plays an active role in our local community in the heart of one of the greatest cities in the world. We take our responsibility as a facilitator of knowledge exchange seriously and work with local partners and initiatives to ensure we have a positive impact in our regions, our local community and the wider UK.

SOAS boasts a number of cultural events throughout the year (Concert Series, Inaugural Lecture Series) and is of course home to the renowned Brunei Gallery, part of Bloomsbury's Museum Mile. The Japanese Roof Garden (pictured) is accessible via the Gallery.

Library, Archives and Special Collections

The renowned SOAS Library, one of only five National Research Libraries in the UK, with more than 1.5 million items and extensive electronic resources in 400 languages, is also home to our Archives & Special Collections.
